Surprise, surprise, it was ANOTHER rainy weekend in Boston. I have a lot of cute summer clothes to wear, so this rain better stop soon!

No, not THAT Darwin!
Phil and I went to what has become our favorite sandwich place, Darwin’s, on Friday. I highly recommend any visitor stopping by the “shabby chic” deli. The sandwiches are delicious and are named after streets in Cambridge. We recommend “The Story” with prosciutto and mozzarella. Mmm..
We met up with one of Phil’s friends from school on Friday night. It was our first time out in downtown Boston and it felt like being out in college, with swarms of young people all around.
Saturday night, we finally decided to try real Indian food instead of the snacks my mom keeps sending. The Afghani/Indian hybrid we went to was not what I was expecting but the food was much lighter than traditional Indian fare. They served something called “mantwos” which were like little dumplings, stuffed with beef and covered with a yogurt sauce. They were delicious – Phil plans to order a “bucket” the next time he’s in town and called me today while he was trying to cook his own version.

We finally went to the Museum of Fine Arts on Sunday. It was overcast and I was a little tired, so I probably didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have in a better mood.

Phil came with me to class on Monday, which he seemed to enjoy. My brother is coming to visit for the July 4 weekend and I can’t wait to celebrate!
